2. How can I obtain a lifetime hunting & fishing license?
All Lifetime License are sold based on the age of the applicant. The three age groups are:

- Youth (5-12 years)
- Adult (13 years old or older)
Florida residents of any age may purchase a lifetime license online at MyFWC.com and receive it in approximately 2 weeks. If you need it in a hurry, they offer 2-day service for a fee. Lifetime Licenses purchased at a Tax Collectors’ office have a 30-45 day turnaround for you to receive your license from the FWC.
When purchasing a Lifetime License in person, please be prepared to provide proof of residency and proof of age. The easiest way to prove residency is by having a valid, unexpired Florida Driver License or ID Card.
If purchasing a Lifetime License for a minor child, the residency documents must be those of a parent or guardian. Additionally, to prove the age of the applicant, you must provide the original or certified copy of their birth certificate, and their social security number is required. (Neither the birth certificate nor the social security card will be retained by our office.)
3. Are Florida residents age 65 and older required to purchase a lifetime hunting or fishing license?
No. Florida residents age 65 and older are eligible to fish or hunt without a license, provided they carry proof of age and residency with them (e.g. their Florida driver license). Non-Florida residents must purchase a license, regardless of age.
4. Acceptable Methods of Payment and Estimated Fees
Our office accepts cash, check, debit cards, and credit cards. A $2.50 processing fee for debit cards and a 2.5% processing fee (minimum of $2.50) for credit cards will apply. Our office does not retain any portion of this fee.
