1. Renew online with RenewExpress
To renew your registration online with RenewExpress (https://renewexpress.com/manatee), you will need one of the following

The PIN # on your renewal notice (located in the upper left corner of the notice, beneath your registration expiration date)

Your date of birth and the Florida license plate number, boat decal number, or mobile home decal number
Credit cards, debit cards and PayPal are accepted online. Online payments are subject to a processing fee of $2.95 per registration renewal (the Manatee County Tax Collector does not receive any portion of the processing fee).
Current, valid Florida insurance must be on file with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV). If insurance is not on file with the FLHSMV and you have current, valid Florida insurance for the vehicle, you can complete an Insurance Affidavit during your online renewal. Some restrictions apply.
Note: Proof of insurance is not required to be on file to renew a boat, trailer, mobile home, and/or motorcycle registration.

2. Renew at a self-service kiosk located in select Manatee County Publix locations
Save time and skip the line! Renew and print your vehicle registration fast using the self-service kiosk! Publix kiosks accept credit cards and debit cards. Current, valid Florida insurance must be on file with the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. If you receive an “insurance not on file” message when attempting to renew at a kiosk, please contact your insurance company directly. Note: Proof of insurance is not required to be on file to renew a trailer and/or motorcycle registration.

3. Renew at a self-service kiosk located in Manatee County Tax Collector offices
Save time and skip the line! Renew and print your vehicle registration fast using the self-service kiosk! Kiosks in our offices accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash. All you need is your registration renewal notice or the license plate number and date of birth of the first registered owner. An appointment is not required to use a kiosk in our offices.

4. Renew at the First Manatee South County Tag Agency - extended hours and Saturday hours
The First Manatee South County Tag Agency processes registration and title transactions for vehicles, boats, and mobile homes, as well as parking permits. This office does not offer driver license, hunting and fishing, or property tax services.
It offers extended hours (9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday) and Saturday hours (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.). Appointments are available but are not required. To schedule an appointment, visit the auto tag agency website (autotagagency.net). It is located in Southwood Shoppes at 5756 14th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34207. Their phone number is (941) 782-6050.
This office accepts cash, check, and debit. A fee will be charged on all check transactions to guarantee funds and on all debit transactions as a processing fee. Additional fees may apply.
The First Manatee South County Tag Agency is a privately owned office operating under the authority granted by the Manatee County Tax Collector’s office.
5. Renew by mail - available for Manatee County residents and businesses only
To renew by mail, once you’ve received your renewal notice(s), separate the notice(s) on the perforated line and mail it in using the return envelope provided with your notice(s). If you did not receive your renewal notice(s) or have lost it, complete an Application for Renewal by Mail form and mail to Ken Burton, Jr., Tax Collector, P.O. Box 25300, Bradenton, FL 34206-5300. If you have multiple registrations to renew, complete a separate form for each registration. Payment must be made by check or money order when renewing by mail.

6. Renew in person – available for Manatee County residents and businesses only
Appointments are required for all transactions! Visit taxcollector.com to schedule an appointment for your registration renewal. We only serve Manatee County residents and businesses. Limit four transactions per appointment.
We accept cash, check, debit cards, and credit cards. A $2.50 processing fee for debit cards and a 2.5% processing fee (with a minimum of $2.50) for credit cards will apply. Our office does not retain any portion of this fee.
The following items are required when renewing in person:
- A valid unexpired U.S. driver license/ID card. We will also accept a valid U.S. or foreign passport, or Canadian driver license/ID card.

Your renewal notice or previous registration certificate will help expedite the renewal process.

If unable to produce these documents, you must be able to recite the vehicle, boat, and/or mobile home details (year, make, color, etc.).

If renewing on behalf of someone else, you must provide the vehicle owner’s name, address, and vehicle details.

Current, valid Florida insurance may be required and it is recommended that you bring it in when coming to our office. The 5-digit Florida Insurance Company Code must be listed, and the year, make and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the vehicle must match what is listed on your valid insurance document. If the 5-digit Florida Insurance Company Code is missing or the information does not match, please contact your insurance company directly for a corrected insurance card.
Note: The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles does not require our office to view proof of insurance for motorcycles, trailers, boats, mobile homes, or off-highway vehicles.
Estimate of Fees
Registration fees are based on the type/weight of your vehicle and the length of your vessel.
Cars, minivans, SUVs, small pickup trucks (5,000lbs or less): $28.00 - $92.20
Motorcycles, motorscooters, mopeds: $19.60 - $49.20
Vessels (Boats): $13.50 - $579.76
Trailers: $4.60 - $65.00
