New East Manatee Branch Location: 10705 Technology Terrace, Bradenton, FL 34211
The Manatee County Tax Collector's Office is excited to announce a new, strategically located office designed to better serve the needs of the community. The new East Manatee Branch opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
This enhanced facility replaces the services of the North River and Lakewood Ranch Branches, which permanently closed in early September 2024. Located approximately 10 minutes from the Fort Hamer Bridge and nestled just off of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, the East Manatee Branch offers a convenient and accessible location for residents in Eastern Manatee County.
Dealer Services Network, a private license plate agency that currently operates under a contract with the Tax Collector, will be opening a new location in the North River area toward the end of 2024 that will provide vehicle registration and title services.
In addition to the new East Manatee Branch, the Tax Collector has also expanded access to convenient, on-the-spot registration renewal kiosks in Publix locations across Manatee County, including Ellenton, Palmetto, Northwest Bradenton, and more. The kiosks are available anytime during store hours, accept card payments, and print the new decal and registration onsite. View a complete list of kiosk locations here.
How far is the East Manatee branch from the old North River and Lakewood Ranch Branches?
The East Manatee Branch is located approximately 15 minutes from the old North River Branch and approximately 5 minutes from the old Lakewood Ranch Branch.
Why consolidate the North River and Lakewood Ranch Branches?
We are committed to serving every corner of our community through our network of branches, registration renewal kiosks, private agency partners, and innovations in online services. To continue providing a high standard of customer service, maintain efficiency, and maintain and expand services to the fastest growing areas of Manatee County, it was necessary to consolidate these two outdated branches and find a new location that could be built to suit the needs of the community.
What is the East Manatee Branch providing that the other branches were not able to offer?
In addition to many other benefits, the following are the key highlights:
- Road Testing services with multiple FLHSMV-approved routes (previously only available at our Driver License Branch)
- A covered VIN verification drive-through
- 48 customer service counters (versus 11 total service stations at our old North River and Lakewood Ranch Branches combined)
- Enhanced privacy for customers completing transactions
- Additional team members to serve the community
- Expanded virtual services
- Extensive self-service stations
- A customer lobby that features an instant registration renewal kiosk, new technology, interactive staff, and more
Are there any services still available in the immediate North River area?
Yes! In addition to online service services that are available to our customers from the comfort of their own homes, there are multiple instant registration renewal kiosks located in Publix locations throughout the North River area, including Palmetto and Parrish. View a complete list of kiosk locations here.
Our partners at Dealer Services Network, a private License Plate Agency, are also planning the launch of a new location for complete motor vehicle services in the North River area. See the question below for more details.
Are there plans to open another location in the North River area?
Yes! A Private Agency will be opening to provide complete motor vehicle services by the end of 2024. The Private Agency will be moving into the building of our old North River Branch, which is owned and maintained by a private party (not our office).
