How to Request Public Records
Our preferred method for you to make a public records request is by completing the Chapter 119 Public Record Request form on our website. |

If you prefer to make the request in person, we highly suggest contacting the offices Records Management Liaison Officer (RMLO) to schedule an appointment at support@rmlo.zendesk.com.
Once we have a clear understanding of the scope of the request, we will provide you with the deposit amount required, which must be submitted in the form of cashier's check, money order or cash. Once the deposit is received, the request will be fulfilled and an official quote will be provided for the request, if additional funds are due. Any additional funds must be received prior to the release of requested records. The fee schedule is available below so you can estimate your fees before submitting your request. As required by Florida law, records may be redacted to remove any confidential or exempt information prior to release.
For requests made by mail, while not required, it is helpful for you to include your contact information so that we can reach out to ask for clarification, if needed.
If you elect not to use one of the methods above to make your request, you can also make a public records request at any of our offices pursuant to Florida Statute and it will be handled in accordance with Florida public records law.

Note: Charges increase one minute after the hour or half-hour. A deposit will be quoted for all requests, and the amount will be determined based on the scope of the request. Payment must be received prior to the release of requested records. |

*The Service Fees do not include legal fees, if applicable, or special services fees as authorized by F.S. 119.07(4)(d), when the nature or volume of a request requires extensive use of IT resources or supervisory assistance. The Tax Collector may charge a reasonable service charge based on the cost actually incurred for the extensive use of IT resources or the labor cost of the personnel that is actually incurred for the assistance required.
Note: All public record requests submitted by subpoena/summons will incur legal fees, and the amount will be determined based on the scope of the request.
