Please see below for additional information.
What is the installment payment plan?
Section 197.222 of the Florida Statutes provides an alternative plan for payment of real estate and tangible personal property taxes, which allows taxpayers to pay their property taxes in four (4) quarterly payments by participating in an installment plan.
The 1st and 2nd quarter installment payments are calculated by taking the total gross tax billed for the prior tax year and dividing that amount by four (4). Upon certification of the current year tax roll, any changes to ownership, value, or exemption(s), will be reflected in the 3rd and 4th quarter installment payments.
Payment Schedule | |
1st Quarter - Payment due by June 30 (discounted 6%) OR Payment due by July 31 (no discount) | 3rd Quarter – Payment due by December 31 (discounted 3%) |
2nd Quarter – Payment due by September 30 (discounted 4.5%) | 4th Quarter – Payment due by March 31 (no discount in March) |
What are the requirements?
Any taxpayer whose prior year taxes exceed $100.00 is eligible for the plan. Taxpayers participating in the quarterly installment payment plan are automatically re-enrolled each year and do not have to complete a new application, provided they paid the 1st quarter installment payment.
The 1st quarterly installment payment must be received or postmarked no later than June 30 to receive a discount. Payments are accepted through July 31, but will not receive a discount if made after June 30. Failure to pay the 1st installment payment will automatically cancel participation in the installment plan and an annual bill will be mailed in November.
Upon meeting the 1st quarterly installment deadline, the taxpayer is obligated to participate in the program for the entire tax year. Any amount remaining unpaid on April 1 is considered delinquent.
How do I apply for the installment payment plan and when is the deadline?
Qualifying taxpayers must complete an online application on or before April 30 of the tax year for which application is being made.

Can I Pay My Property Taxes Using A Bank Internet Bill-Paying Service?
We recommend using taxcollector.com to pay your taxes. If you use a bank internet bill-paying service, include the correct property identification number with each payment. Your payment must be scheduled to be received in our office by the last day of the discount period. Bill-pay services do not directly pay your taxes; they mail our office a paper check, which may not be received by the deadline. Payments received after the discount period will be returned.
Our office is not responsible for payments not received when using an online bill-paying service.
How can I obtain a paid receipt for property tax transactions paid online?
Payments will be reflected on our website within 3-business days. Receipts can be printed by searching for the parcel and then selecting the yellow “Print Receipt" button under the "Print" column (on the left) from our property tax website.
